Preceptor Toolkit
Getting ready to apply for dietetic internships can be both exciting and nerve-wracking. While securing your own rotation sites and preceptors adds a few more tasks to the to-do list, it can also allow for a more enjoyable and fulfilling dietetic internship experience. Application Checklist
- Learn all about our DI Application Process here.
- Check to see if you’re eligible for our Preselect Option!
- Decide the pathway (DI-Only vs MS/DI) and track (FT vs PT) you plan to apply to.
- Are you eligible for Prior Assessed Learning? Learn about the PAL process here.
- Understand the Important Dates for your Match Cycle so you don’t miss a thing!
- Register for DICAS and D&D Digital.
- Download the rotation schedule template & review tips for securing rotations or watch the Finding Preceptors Workshop for help.
- Request your official transcripts and/or proof of Master’s Program acceptance.
- Write your personal statement.
- Update your resume.
- Obtain 3 letters of recommendation.
- Complete the Supplemental Application, including the Proposed Rotation Schedule.
- Pay the BWS DI application fee, which can be done here.
- Submit your DICAS application!
