While securing your own rotation sites and preceptors adds a few more tasks to the to-do list, it can also allow for a more enjoyable and fulfilling dietetic internship experience. Application Checklist

  1. Learn all about our DI Application Process here.
  2. Decide the pathway (DI-Only vs MS/DI) and track (FT vs PT) you plan to apply to.
  3. Are you eligible for Prior Assessed Learning? Learn about the PAL process here.
  4. Understand the Important Dates for your application cycle so you don’t miss a thing!
  5. Register for DICAS.
  6. Download the Program Plan template & review tips for securing rotations or watch the Finding Preceptors Workshop for help.
  7. Request your official transcripts and/or proof of Master’s Program acceptance.
  8. Write your personal statement.
  9. Update your resume.
  10. Obtain 3 letters of recommendation.
  11. Complete your Program Plan.
  12. Submit your DICAS application!
