DICAS Requirements

All individuals applying to a dietetic internship via DICAS will need to complete the following requirements:

  • Register for DICAS

Applicants applying to BWS DI through either the DI-Only Pathway or MS/DI Pathway must apply to our program through the Dietetic Internship Centralized Application Service (DICAS). DICAS is an online applicant portal serviced by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and used by students who are applying to dietetic internship programs.

BWS DI participates in both the Spring and Fall application cycles through DICAS. For more information, please visit dicas.liaisoncas.com. Potential applicants may also email dicasinfo@dicas.org for more information. Please note that there is a fee to use DICAS. To apply to BWS DI for the Spring 2025 Application Cycle, applicants must complete their DICAS application by 11:59 pm Central Time on February 15, 2025.

BWS DI Requirement

All individuals applying to the Be Well Solutions Dietetic Internship will need to complete the DICAS requirements above and also submit the following:

  • Program Plan (submitted via DICAS)

    • Your application must include a Program Plan. The structure of a distance program allows applicants to select their rotation sites and preceptors.
    • DI-Only Applicants: Applicants must submit proof of an existing master’s degree, one that is in progress, or acceptance into a master’s program before Orientation. If available before the application deadline, this may be submitted with the Program Plan. Examples of proof include a letter of acceptance from a master’s program and/or transcripts from a currently enrolled master’s program.
    • MS/DI Applicants: Applicants applying to the MS/DI pathway must align their rotation schedule dates with the MS/DI curriculum timeline for the graduate program that they are applying for. Each curriculum timeline may be found on the graduate program pages, and other important dates for the MS/DI pathway may be found here. Applicants must indicate which MS program(s) they will be applying to within the Program Plan. Before Orientation, BWS DI requires proof of admission with a letter of acceptance or other documentation provided by the MS program.
